Emami Realty plans to develop two new residential projects in Chennai

Emami Realty, an Emami Group company, plans to develop two new residential projects in Chennai covering a total area of ​​approximately 20 lakh square feet.

These two projects in Chennai are part of the Kolkata-based company’s plan to launch 12 projects spread over approximately 220 lakh sq ft of residential and commercial space in major cities of the country over the next seven years.

The total estimated investment for all these proposed projects in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and Jharkhand will be around ₹10,000 crore.

“We are already present in Tamil Nadu. We had given a project in Chennai about three years ago. Currently, a project is going on in Coimbatore. We will launch two more residential projects in Chennai. Construction of both these projects will begin soon,” said Nitish Kumar, MD and CEO of Emami Realty. business Line,

“One project with 8.5 lakh sq ft of space will be completed in 2028, while the other project with about 11 lakh sq ft will be completed by the end of 2029,” Kumar said, adding that both of these are upper-middle housing projects.

The company has about 100 acres of land in Hyderabad. “As of now we have not decided whether we will develop projects in Hyderabad or sell the land there,” the MD said.

Out of the total 12 projects coming up across the country, five projects will be launched outside West Bengal. The company has its own land bank for all these new projects.

“The total revenue potential of these projects will be around ₹15,000 crore. The total estimated investment will be approximately ₹10,000 crore. We already have land. Therefore, we only need construction financing. It will be financed from internal accruals and sale of projects.
